Alicia’s journey into dog training began through volunteer therapy dog work, where she and her six therapy dogs performed trick shows to entertain patients and honor her father. After thousands of therapy visits and earning many titles, it was witnessing the ability of dogs to relieve mental, physical, and emotional pain inspired her passion for helping both dogs and people.
That passion expanded into the rescue world, where Alicia has donated more than 1,000 hours helping shelter dogs build confidence and stronger relationships with their people. Today, she is dedicated to helping others create joyful, connected partnerships with their dogs through therapy dog preparation, cooperative care, confidence building, and trick training.
Alicia blends science-based education with real-world experience to create individualized training experiences rooted in compassion, education, and fun. She shares her life with four dogs: two Miniature Dachshunds, Lola and Dillon; a Treeing Walker Coonhound, Liberty Belle; and a Foxhound mix, Dave.
Her credentials include IAABC-CDBC, IAABC-ADT, CPDT-KA, CTDI, Certified Fear Free Professional, AKC CGC Evaluator, and Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dog Evaluator/Volunteer.
